Seems like :/ It’s a massive shame if RotG didn’t get put in on time because it’s really one of the stand out animated films of last year
Agreed 100%. It was above anything Dreamworks had ever put out before it.

tbh, I don’t really understand Brave being nominated. It was good, but not amazing imo
Brave was a huge disappoint in my opinion. They marketed it so much about it being the first Pixar movie with a female lead and the story was just so flat. The animation was spectacular, especially Merida’s hair, but everything else didn’t hold up.
Maybe the Academy was just trying to fill up all five spaces?

Fair. Still…Frankenweenie…really?
Yeah I have no defense on that. It was crap.
lilprince replied to your post: The oscar nominees made me sad. But then again…
WHY IS FRANKENWEENIE NOMINATED AND RISE OF THE GUARDIANS NOT!?! WHYYYYYY
There’s a high chance they didn’t submit a copy of the film early enough to the Academy to make it up for consideration. You have to have all submissions in by the beginning of November or the film won’t be considered. Chances are Dreamworks didn’t bother to get it completed in time for the submission.

And then there’s the fact that he’s teaching Logan to block telepaths, in fact just Alpha and Omega. That story pretty much did it for me.
Yeah that’s a thing but I don’t know I still don’t really count Quire as one of Logan’s kids. I love Quire to death (run the fuckyeahquentinquire blog even) but I don’t yet really count him as one of the kids Logan mentors and takes under his wing. It’s just not there for me yet. Mostly because yeah while they’ve teamed up and Quire is helping Logan block telepaths there’s not really been a hell of a lot of mentor/mentee interaction between the two of them for me. I guess to me it doesn’t really feel like that kind of relationship. But I guess it’s all personal perspective/interpretation.

(on the notes) he took Quentin to a space casino. That is enough. He counts.
I don’t count it yet. One go isn’t enough for me but that’s personal preference. I’d be more likely to count Idie because of the doll and pep talk occurrences in Schism then I would one mission with Quire. But like I said in my opinion there’s a lot of potential for Quire to become one of Logan’s kids but to me he’s not yet.
