To me, my X-Men

From Then to NOW!

This September, Marvel NOW! celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the X-Men.

Since the only other time Phil Noto has drawn Rogue was in his Logan’s Angels Of Fury print I decided to cap and edit the colors of Rogue in his all girl X-Men team picture, like I did with Kitty and Rachel, despite that Psylocke’s hair is covering part of her. I have a friend who is going to try to edit the hair more to the side but there’s only so much she can do. So in case that doesn’t work out, here’s the cap so far.

Okay so I capped and edited the colors on Rachel Grey in Phil Noto’s picture of the all girl X-Men team and I decided I also wanted to do the same with Kitty since she’s another girl Phil Noto doesn’t draw often. My friend Alicia helped with the edit because I have absolutely no drawing talent and Storm’s jaw was peskily covering up some of Kitty in the original.

I feel like as far as the X-Men go, the women are the X-Men. Cyclops and Wolverine are big names, but taken as a whole, the women kind of rule the franchise. If you look at the entire world as a whole, it’s the females that really dominate and are the most interesting and cool to look at. When you have a great artist drawing them, they look so amazing and always have.
