Yeah, quite a few people have made that suggestion on my gif of the close-up of them. They’ve also suggested everything from undead soldiers to the Draugr to… Egyptians.
A lot of people on Reddit are partial to the theories that they’re Draugr, Chitauri, or Korbinites (Beta Ray Bill’s race)....

Given that Whedon has said they’re definitely not Skrulls or shapeshifters of any kind I’m thinking Loki’s army might be the Badoon. Only because in the trailer they look slightly reptilian like the Badoon and their helmets also kinda look like the helmet of Thanos.
